Accessing Your Router's Web Interface

To configure your router, you first need to access its web interface by opening the login page.
In this example, the default gateway address is 192.168.0.1, which is commonly used. Open a web browser, type this IP address into the address bar, and press Enter. This will bring up the router’s login page, as shown in the image below.

Please Note: Your router credentials should be on a sticker on the bottom of your router. If not, you can see the most common credentials below.

Find Your Device’s Address in the Local Network

To locate your device’s address on the local network, check the list of connected devices in your router’s web interface. Look for the device you want to use for your service.

In our example, the Raspberry Pi is connected and assigned the address 192.168.0.85.

Configuring Port Forwarding

In your router’s web interface, navigate to the Advanced section, where you’ll find the option for Port Forwarding.
Here, you can open ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) and forward them to your device’s local IP address, as shown in the image below.
